Moana Birthday Party

I am so thrilled to share the Moana birthday party that we designed in December for a sweet little girl who turned 5 years old! This party theme was so fun and I love how it turned out!

The venue was Shakalaka, a trampoline arena here in Huntsville, AL. The kids were able to jump and play and work up an appetite for some birthday cake!

The party was held in one of Shakalaka's party rooms. It was so spacious!

For me, the party started with designing these invitations:

Information covered up/changed to protect privacy. :)

As guests arrived, they were able to put down their belongings and gift for the birthday girl and then it was time for the kids to go jump to start the party!

Behind the food table we added a fun bamboo screen to lend to the Hawaiian/Moana theme. In front of the screen is a custom banner I designed for the birthday girl, complete with hibiscus flowers and pineapples.

We created a kakamora from a real coconut for one of the party games, but until they used it for the game, we centered it on the food table. The kids loved it!

Guests could choose from bottled water, lemonade and iced tea to quench their thirst. We added party cups with reusable straws and coordinating straw flags I designed.

I created juice box labels and water bottle labels with the party theme in mind. We had plenty of the apple juice boxes for the kiddos to have during the party.

I always include food label cards at parties as you never know what people are allergic to. It's also a fun way to carry the color scheme through. We also had coordinating confetti I created on each table.

We recreated Maui's hook for the party and set it out for the kids to play with and pretend to be Maui! It was such a fun party prop!

Our favor bags each included a pineapple cup like the one shown above for the kiddos.

The favor bags also included a lei, Moana puzzle page and Maui temporary tattoos. :)

We added "Moana's boat" in the corner of the room for the kids to be able to play in. :) My sister free painted the design onto the sail! She is incredibly talented.

Once the kids finished jumping, they came up to the party room for snacks, cake and games!

Speaking of cake...

This cake was seriously amazing! It was so perfect for a Moana party! It was made by Veneranda Cake Art.

We planned 3 games for the party:

1) Pass the kakamora. Similar to hot potato. ;)

2) Freeze dance

3) Pin the Shades on Hei Hei

I just knew the kids would love the poster even before they knew it was a game!

For gift-giving time, I provided this gift list I designed. I love these for helping party hosts keep track of who brought what to make thank-you note writing easier.

I had the best time designing and creating for this special Moana party! Happy 5th Birthday Juliette!!!

P.S. - If you love this pineapple printable set as much as I do, stay tuned because it will be in the shop soon! :)

Airplane Themed Baby Shower!

I'm so thrilled to share with you this airplane themed baby shower worked over the weekend! I had so much fun dreaming up the details for this shindig!

The mommy-to-be told us that baby Robert's nursery is decorated in an airplane theme so we ran with that theme for the baby shower. I altered our airplane birthday party printables for a baby shower and I'm excited to announce that package is now in the shop as well! :)

Click here to see the Airplane Baby Shower Package in the shop! :)

We placed two welcome signs to direct guests into the right room. We put one outside and one on the door to the room we were in. :)

As guests walked in we asked them to sign the guestbook. I created the 'check-in' and 'baggage claim' signs as a cute, coordinating way to show guests where to sign the guestbook and to remind them to grab a favor on the way out!

We used the children's book The Little Airplane as the guestbook. I thought it would be a sweet touch to add to the airplane themed nursery and little Robert can enjoy the book once he learns to read. :)

The favors were handmade by the mommy-to-be! We packaged them up in white kraft paper gift bags and attached these matching favor tags.

After signing in, we directed guests to the gift table for "Luggage Dropoff." ;) For each event I do I create a custom gift list so that the guest of honor can easily see who brought what.

Also on the gift table was the diaper cake we made that I'm sure will come in handy the first few weeks baby Robert is home! :)

After all the guests arrived, they were welcomed to refreshments.

We snacked on ham and cheese croissants, veggies with ranch dip, goat cheese and crackers, spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla chips, chocolate dipped pretzels and Hershey's kisses.

Above the food table, I custom designed a banner for baby Robert. We also added coordinating patterned banners I made to all the tables.

The Hershey's Kisses were adorned with matching stickers. These stickers are part of each party package that we offer. :)

For drinks, we offered lemonade, iced tea and bottled water.

After we ate, our guest of honor cut into the cake and we got to enjoy this adorable cloud cake! The mommy-to-be, Jennifer was so excited to take home the cake topper to add to baby Robert's nursery!

We then played 2 customized shower games that are included in the party package in the shop! We played Baby Robert's The Sweet Life and The Price is Right. Winners each received a small prize. :)

It was such a fun shower and I was honored to be part of baby Robert's special day! Congratulations Jennifer!!

Butterfly Birthday Party

IMG_4933-1-2 edited.jpg

I had the privilege of working with a dear friend on her daughter's 2nd birthday party! We had a great time and the party was beautiful!

My friend had her daughter's party at our local Botanical Garden's Butterfly House. With the venue selected, I set out to create some butterfly printables for the decor. The party was also for her niece, as she turned 1 around the same time.

For the joint party I created a banner for my friend's daughter Emma as well as one for Emma's cousin, Elise. :)

The tables were decorated with beautiful flowers arranged by a family friend. Underneath I added colorful papers and confetti I designed.

I added coordinating food labels to the table. I always use food labels at events as you never know what allergies people may have.

The adorable cakes came from Edgar's Bakery.

The Butterfly House was amazing and the children were able to go in it and do a scavenger hunt and touch a butterfly!

I'm happy to say that the full butterfly party package is now available in the shop here! Also available are coordinating invitations and thank you notes.

Airplane Themed Birthday Party!

I had the pleasure recently of working with a dear friend on her son's first birthday party. The theme was airplanes! We had so much fun working together and I'm excited to show you guys all the printables I designed for use at the party. :)

The airplane theme party package is available in the shop here!

Guests were greeted with this custom welcome sign.

Inside, my friend Sophie had prepared some tasty treats for guests to enjoy. She had a delicious veggie tray with ranch and hummus, chips and salsa, fruit and her mom made cupcakes.

I designed these custom food labels below.

To match our airplane theme, I created these custom cupcake toppers. I love the little airplane toppers!

We also carried the theme through with these water bottle labels.

I created this "Atticus is 1!" banner and strung it up on red polka-dot ribbon.

I created some decorative papers for the party and we used them to bring so more color to the food table. :)

We wrapped cutlery in a navy napkin and secured them with these adorable napkin wraps for guests to grab and go once they prepared their plates.

I had so much fun celebrating this sweet little boy on his 1st birthday! Thanks Sophie for allowing me to be a part of such a special day! :)

Plates and napkins came from Party City

Sophia's talented father made Atticus' airplane shirt for the day, as well as matching shirts for mom and dad to wear :)

Purple and White Bridal Shower

I'm so excited to share this bridal shower with you today! I was asked to help out with this event and I was thrilled to participate. The theme was rustic with pops of purple.

I made the wedding dress and heart cookies as favors for guests to take home with them and we also put them out to be savored during the actual event.

I had so much fun designing these custom cupcake toppers/wrappers and the table confetti.

My sister made these adorable rice crispy hearts! I thought they were too cute.

My sister also created the precious tuxedo oreos. What a great idea!

The main thing the bride wanted for the shower was a burlap banner that said bride-to-be so I crafted this and we hung it up on the food table.

As part of my custom design, I created this banner. I love to make banners with an event's colors in mind. :)

We had an area for guests to include advice for the couple to take home. :)

Another custom touch were these food label cards in the couple's colors.

As mentioned above, I made these tea cookies for guests to take home as favors. I also made these favor tags for guests to know it's ok to grab 1 (or 2)! :)

Thanks Jennifer for letting me help out with this special event! I loved it!
